The Dog & Bone Book Exchange

This unique initiative, possibly the first of its kind to be located in a pub, is a service provided by the Dog & Bone where by customers can exchange thier unwanted books for new ones. The scheme is as simple as that, if you bring us five books you can take five of ours. This way our collection is always changing (which benefits the regular users of this service). When we started the Book Exchange three years ago we had about 50 books, however, through kind donations from our customers we now have a collection of over 2000 different titles. 


Terms & Conditions
The ‘Book Exchange’ is a non-profit making service provided exclusively to the customers of the Dog & Bone.
Any of the books provided by the Landlady may be exchanged for any book brought in by a customer of the Dog & Bone, with the following conditions:

• Books can only be exchanged like-for-like i.e. hard back for hard back, paper back for paper back, irrespective of topic or size
• All books exchanged must be in reasonable condition
• All exchanges must be authorised by the Landlady
